Hello, I’m Shari 👋 Welcome to my little piece of the internet!
I’m currently a [reluctant–but grateful] stay-at-home mom to two wild and mischievous boys. Most days they make me a bit crazy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I am also a contestant on Season 10 of MasterChef USA [it’s currently airing Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on FOX! Tune in!☺️]
Our family is an intercultural family. My husband [Piyush] was born and raised in India and I am American. We’ve been married 10 years now–and in those 10 years I have learned to love and appreciate the Indian culture [and cuisine!]. We’ve [mostly] successfully blended both of our individual cultures to create something that not only works for our family but makes us both happy–not always an easy feat and something we revisit often!
I enjoy learning about, making, eating and introducing my opinionated boys to different foods and cuisines [I really, really love cooking!]. I’m not one to discriminate (usually), but there’s no doubt that I have a soft spot for a spicy Indian curry and a steaming cup of chai!
I’m also addicted to lattes. Good coffee is my weakness. I never understood the whole “mom obsession” with coffee until actually having kids. Now I totally GET it. Coffee is my BFF.
Previously, I’ve blogged at My Fancy Pantry and there is a lot of good stuff still on that site. Check it out, if you’d like.
Aside from sharing what I’ve been creating in the kitchen or the things I’ve learned (or am struggling to learn!) while trying to parent two strong-willed boys, you’ll also find snippets from our life and our adventures here–and if you would like to see even more, check out my Instagram. I post there frequently.
So look around. Try some of my recipes–and let me know what you think! Send me any parenting advice or hacks you think would be helpful–Seriously. I need all the help I can get…
I’d love to get to know my readers and would love for you to get to know me too!
